Sustainability – Always Evolving
Sustainability is now a major priority for Classique, as it is for the packaging industry as a whole. Packaging is seeing continual shifts and exciting innovation to protect our planet for the future, while meeting customer demands.
Australia and New Zealand have both set targets to make all packaging recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2025, and we’re committed to supporting this change.
We are continually exploring and adapting to stay on top of innovation and help our customers in their efforts to do better. In just the past two years, we’ve helped some of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest brands move to 100% recyclable papers in their packaging and prevented over 100,000 kilograms of plastics from entering our economy each year.
Tailored Solutions
Sustainability in packaging isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, and just like we do in every aspect of our business, we work with each client to find the best sustainability solutions to fit your brand, your customer experience, your budget and your business model, so we can figure out the best options to meet your needs.
Our Sustainability Network
Environmental impacts affect all stages of our economy and a product’s lifecycle. We consider the whole sustainability picture, from sourcing and production, to distribution, to reuse, recycling and disposal systems.
We offer an ever-growing range of products and solutions to meet sustainability priorities:
FSC – the Forest Stewardship Council is a not-for-profit, non-government international organisation who support sustainable sourcing to protect the world’s forests. We provide FSC-certified options for paper and card solutions.
PCW (pre- and post-consumer waste) – technology and waste management systems infrastructure is enabling ever better solutions to repurpose waste into new products and keep it out of landfill. We offer a range of solutions using PCW.
Compostable packaging – courier packaging is on the rise as e-commerce increases demand, but new bio-based and recyclable solutions offer an alternative to single-use plastic.

Once you look deeper, making sustainable choices can be complex and just not as simple as ‘paper good, plastic bad’. Packaging is our thing, it’s our day job, so you know we’ve done the legwork to give you clear information and advice on all the available options at hand to help you make a smart, confident decision that you can back up with facts for your stakeholders and customers.
We encourage consideration of customer behaviour and the entire product lifecycle when thinking about packaging selection.
